Performance Package "No Charge?"

Finally, after waiting a year, I took my 2002 Z8 into the local dealership to get the performance package installed. I expected to pay roughly $2500 based on what I have read. I picked up the car today and I was told that it's "no charge!"

Did I miss something over the last year?

Were you an original owner? If so, I am not surprised as in my exeprience as both an original owner and a second hand owner of various BMWs, it seems that BMW frequently works that way with the original owners most of the time. (no offense to all the great owners who bought second hand!) If you are a second hand owner, then even better!!
