New seats?

Has anyone out there replaced their stock seats with Recaros or something similar? I have an all black interior, and have been thinking about getting some red inserts added to the stock upholstery, but saw a picture in the latest Roundel of a TC Kline carbon Z4 with black recaors & red inserts and it looked pretty good. Could also use a bit more lumbar and lateral support than the stock seats provide. Thanks for your help.

but the only car I've seen it on is in Japan. Have a close look at these shots (http://bmwz8.us/htmlL/gallery.php?GalleryID=65&ImgID=385), and you'll see both of these cars have Recarro seats from the Porsche GT3. Our seats are pretty heavy, at around 75lbs each, these seats are closer to 30lbs each, so there is a considerable weight saving to be gained.

You could try to contact Yasuaki 'BOB' Suzuki about the swap, but his English isn't too strong. Here is a link to thier website www.studie.jp (http://www.studie.jp/infor.html) - click on OWNERS, then in SERIES click OTHER and scroll down till you'll find a two bits (vol.295 & vol 396) on the black & the white Z8's they modified. I hate flash based sites because you can't give direct links!

I would love to know the suspension, wheel offset and tire size of his black car.:cool:
